Our Story
1982
Simon Jung founded Jungsco, Inc. in Villa Park, Illinois after immigrating to the U.S. from South Korea with very little. In the early years, he rode his bicycle to work each day and built the company up from a small carpentry business through grit and dedication.
1980s - 1990s
Jungsco grew into a trusted builder across the Chicago metropolitan area, taking on specialized projects and becoming a familiar name within the Asian-American communities it served.
2000s
Paul Jung, Simon’s son, took over the business and bore a new generation of leadership. After years of managing large projects with another firm, he relaunched Jungsco and grew the company’s portfolio through high-profile commercial work across the Midwest.
2007
Looking to push himself and expand what Jungsco could become, Paul relocated the company to Orange County, California, where he began pursuing larger opportunities across the West Coast.
2010s-2020s
Jungsco continued to grow across California, taking on larger restaurant projects and building relationships with recognized brands. Under Paul’s leadership, the company expanded into more complex, design-driven work and strengthened its ability to deliver high-end, large-scale builds.
We’ve completed more than 300 projects and are continuing to grow alongside ambitious brands, taking on larger and more complex builds while expanding into development. Our vision is to be a long-term construction partner for the next generation of standout restaurant concepts and commercial destinations.
